- PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICERS -

The departments Public Information Officers are Lt. Allan Coomer (right) and Det. Shannon Smith (left). 

They handle requests from the media and issue press releases about the department’s activity and community programs.  

Lt. Coomer and Det. Smith have developed a valuable relationship with the members of local and state media.  They routinely conduct on-camera interviews with Lexington and Kentucky TV stations, and are sometimes called for live radio shows.
