Public Information Office

 

The departments Public Information Officers are Lt. Allan Coomer (right) and Det. Shannon Smith (left).  Lt. Coomer is the lead PIO, with Det. Smith being the assistant PIO.  They handle requests from the media and press releases.  During the past eighteen months the Public Information Office has kept the department in the news with news releases on the happening in the department and the community with some of the stories garnering international attention.  Because of their honesty in representing the facts, they have developed a valuable relationship with the various members of not just the local media but also the regional news outlets.
